Eno Peçi

was born in Tirana (Albania). He was educated at Ballet Academy of Tirana and at the Ballet School of the Vienna State Opera. In 2000 he joined the Ballet of the Vienna State Ballet. In 2003 he was appointed Demi-Soloist and in 2009 Soloist of the ballet of Vienna State Opera und Volksoper

Since 2009 Eno Peçi started his career as a Choreographer:

For Choreo.Lab in 2009 as well as for Young Choreographers of Vienna State Ballet 2012 and 2015 he created Cut, Exitium and Pavillon 12/2

For Origen Festival Cultural in Switzerland 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 he created Ereignis aus Karl’s Leben , Exil , Jenseits , Tre FratelliHomo SapiensApocalypse , Cafe Chinois, Der Letzte Walzer, Zeitraum and in July 2020 at the Castle Burg Riom he created Artus

For Stanislavsky Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre in Moscow-Russia at 2017, he created Déjà vu

At 2013 for Wiener Staatsballett he created Herzblume and at 2017 Petruschka

On february 8th 2018 and february 20th 2020 at the Vienna State Opera he did the choreography for the opening ceremony of the Vienna Opera Ball for the Vienna State Ballet and the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera

On September 19th 2020 his creation Zweisamkeit for the Győri Ballet in Győr – Hungary had its premiere in the production Körforgás

For Gala des Etoiles in Luxembourg he created Modus (2015) Opus 25 (2017) and Subject (L) (2018)

For Red Ribbon Celebration Concert in Burgtheater, in 2016 he created Orpheus and Euridike

For Albanian Culture Weeks  in Vienna in 2017 he created Malli , a collaboration together with KâZâ ft. The Siblings and in 2020 he participated again at the Klassik Trifft Ethno in a collaboration with Rina Kaçinari

His in 2015 created piece Exil and in 2017 Deja vu had its premiere with the National ballet of Albania in Tirana on november 25th 2017

For The Future Ball in 2018 which was organised for the first time in the SO/Vienna Lifestyle-Hotel, Peçi created a solo for himself

For the Weltstar – Gala in 2018 in the Volkstheater (Vienna) he created the Pas de deux Hush which he was dancing together with the principal dancer of Vienna State Ballet, Olga Esina

On March 30th 2019, Swan Lake had Premiere for the Die Theater Chemnitz in Germany. Eno Peçi created and staged the 1st and 3rd Act and the ballet director of Die Theater Chemnitz – Sabrina Sadowska was responsible for the 2nd and 4th Act, after Lew Iwanow

For the 6th Chemnitzer Ballett Benefiz Gala on 11 May 2019 Peçi was creating the Pas de deux Rain

For the Gala D’Etoiles Internationales Viva Maia in Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes on June 29th 2019, Peçi created the duet Fragment which he was dancing together with the principal dancer of Vienna State Ballet, Ketevan Papava

Together with the pianist Maria Radutu he created & staged the evening Piano & Dance in MuTh Theater – Vienna, on October 2nd 2019

His in 2015 created piece Exil had its premiere with the National Ballet of Kosovo in Prishtina on december 5th, 2019

In 2019 his Opus 25 and Déjà vu have been shown in Schloss Thalheim in Kapelln in Austria with the Choreo Center Europe & Europaballett

In 2020 he was invited from The Delegation of the European Union, in partnership with the Austrian Embassy to be part of the program Europe Week Albania with the project Piano & Dance created together with Maria Radutu in 2019

For the Live Stream of the Nurejew Gala 2020 and the last season of the ballet director of Vienna State Ballet – Manuel Legris he created for Vienna State Ballet the piece Wenn ich Groß bin, will ich..

For the Online Charity Event platform TOK – Për Kulturën Tonë in collaboration with the Cultural Association KÂ, in December 26th, 2020 Peci created the piece Muzg (Vienna-Austria)

For the Die Theater Chemnitz under the production of Frühlingsrausch in September 24th 2021, he created and staged Daphnis et Chloé under the music composition of Maurice Ravel

On November 11th 2021, Peçi created Angel for the SNG Ljubljana Theater under the production of Strune with the music composition of Alban Berg – Violin Concerto

His piece Exil, created in 2015 has been performed at the International Festival – Dance Fest Skopje in April 14th 2022 with an invitation to the National Ballet of Kosovo.


PRIZES AND HONOURS:

  • Appointment to an Honourable Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in 2008.

  • In 2017 he received the Highest Award from the Mayor of the City Hall in Albania The Key Of Tirana.

  • In 2018 he was Honoured by the President of Albania with the Highest Title Knight of the Order of Skanderbeg.

  • In 2019 he was Honoured from the President of Austria with the Honorable Cross for Science and Art (Österreichischen Ehrenkreuzes für Wissenschaft und Kunst).
